The Common Reading Program provides an introduction to academic life at the University for our new students and serves as a vehicle to bring the community together over a shared intellectual endeavor. This program was started in 2006 and has become a tradition that promotes the importance of academics, community, and discourse. The 2014-1015 Common Reading selection was The Circle by Dave Eggers. Each year the University sponsors an essay contest connected to the book. This year multi-media responses were accepted in addition to traditional essays. You can view this year's submissions here.
