Abstract

This is the completion of Parts 1-2 of the Historic Preservation Certification Application administered through the National Park Service for Leonard Place, LLC, the legal owner of 366 Hope Street, Bristol, Rhode Island to qualify for the 20% Federal tax credit for its planned substantial rehabilitation. Leonard place, traditionally known as the David Augustus Leonard House (c. 1806), is a recently acquired property of Harborside Holdings Corporation which seeks both the State and Federal historic preservation tax credits to leverage the cost of the substantial rehabilitation and restoration.

Located in the heart of the Bristol Waterfront Historic District on the corner of Hope and Church Streets, the property currently contains eight units (seven residential and one commercial). Through the successful procurement of Federal tax credits, Leonard Place will be methodically restored and rehabilitated into premium residential units that celebrate important character defining features and its important history.
