Description

Anne Baker’s handwritten journal of the Beriah Brown House providing an architectural history and survey of the house as it was in 1972. Baker describes the interior rooms and features of the house as well as the condition of the walls, summer beam, joists, girts, posts, framing and windows. Upon completion of the survey, a decision was made to dismantle the house in order to preserve it on a permanent location. Baker’s journal offers a daily account of the dismantling process in June 1972.
